LEAKED: The Most Difficult GD in the History of Malhar

Malhar requires a unique skill set of creativity, leadership, organisational skills, and so much more. In many ways, it’s the toughest job you’ll ever have (definitely the most stressful). Puddles put three of the most hardworking people we know, Claire Dunphy, Dwight Schrute, and Phoebe Buffay, in one GD to see who would emerge the other side with the coveted tag of ‘Malhar Workforce’. Tell us, who would you pick to join your department?

  1. What previous work experience of yours will make you a good fit for Malhar?
  • Claire: Hmmm where do I start, Juggling four kids and a whole house has made me a multitasking ninja! From being the most tipped employee at the skating rink to working at Pritchett’s Closets & Blinds (no nepotism, promise!) and now rocking it as the Senior VP of Organize ‘Em, I’m your go-to gal for this gig!
  • Dwight: Well, well, well! Dwight K Schrute here, owner of a 60-acre beet farm and former Assistant Regional Manager (okay, Assistant to the Regional Manager) at Dunder Mifflin, now proudly the Regional Manager. Trust me, not hiring me for Malhar’s would be the biggest mistake of your life!
  • Phoebe: Oh boy I’ve worn many hats: I was a masseuse, stockbroker, substitute secretary, and an ace telemarketer. In my spare time, I play the guitar and write songs. Should play something for you now!

2. What new ideas can you come up with to make this year’s Malhar more special?

  • Claire: How about we add some family-friendly fun and surprise flash mobs? Trust me, nothing spices up a festival like spontaneous dancing and a bit of the Dunphy flair! I could also call my brother-in-law ‘Cam’ who happens to be a clown, if needed.
  • Dwight: What if we introduce beet farming workshops or even better maybe this year’s theme for Malhar could be ‘Beets’. I must say, these ideas are scientifically proven to boost morale and productivity, and it will be an unforgettable Malhar for everyone.
  • Phoebe: I think we should have a ‘Smelly Cat’ sing along and maybe a  talent show? And don’t worry, I’ll teach everyone the lyrics so we all jam on Amp Night—it’s gonna a rager!!

3. Would you say you work well in a team?

  • Claire: Oh, absolutely! I run my family like a well-oiled machine, so put me in a team and watch me organize, delegate, and get things done. Just make sure everyone follows my color-coded spreadsheets, or chaos will ensue!
  • Dwight: Teamwork? Please. I am the alpha in any team. I lead, I dominate, I conquer. But sure, I can tolerate being part of a team as long as everyone understands that I’m the one calling the shots. And if anyone needs a beet farming expert on their team, I’m your guy.
  • Phoebe: Oh, totally! I’m like the spirit animal of any team. I bring the quirky vibes, the unexpected ideas, and sometimes a little song or two to lighten the mood. Plus, I can talk to animals, so if we ever need a cat’s cooperation, count me in!

4. How do you deal with failure and setbacks?

  • Claire: Setbacks are just life’s way of spicing up the storyline! I handle them with cookies, a new to-do list, and, you know what…if all else fails, hello, pantry makeover!
  • Dwight: Failure is just a test of my superior abilities. I crush setbacks like I crush beets. If I fail, I simply intensify my efforts. And maybe break a few boards with my bare hands. Did I tell you I am a purple belt in Goju-Ryu karate!
  • Phoebe: I just roll with it! I write a zany song about my failure, like “Oops, I Did It Again,” then probably laugh it off. Life’s too short to be serious all the time!

5. Why do you want to be a part of Malhar?

  • Claire: Malhar is perfect for showcasing my event planning skills and love for structural entities. Plus, who doesn’t love a good committee?
  • Dwight: Malhar is a battleground for the best. With my leadership and beet expertise, it’s practically a Schrute family reunion.
  • Phoebe: Malhar’s got music, art, and all things funky—just like me! Plus, I think it could be the stage for my next hit, “Festival Fun and Funky Phoebe!”

As we wrap up our conversation, the excitement in the room was electric. Phoebe, Dwight, and Claire were practically bouncing in their seats. Phoebe grinned from ear to ear as she said, “It’s is going to be legendary!” Dwight added with a wink, “We’ve planned every detail to make sure there’s never a dull moment.” Claire, with a twinkle in her eye, chimed in, “Think of Malhar as a roller coaster of endless merry!”
