What Archetype Is Your Department? | Networking Edition

The way all good stories consist of a diverse set of characters from a wide spectrum of personalities, so does Malhar. It’s no secret that every department has a distinct identity of its own. In this rich and varied spectacle, here’s how every department contributes to the plot

  1. Conclave: The Sage

Conclave is one of the most anticipated parts of Malhar; the guest speakers never fail to shed light on interesting subjects. Hence, Conclave fits perfectly as the wise figure with knowledge for those who inquire. It’s the mentor figure of Malhar.

  1. PR: The Prince on a White Horse

Witty reels, engaging events, quirky publicity stunts: the PR department works tirelessly to build hype for Malhar till its tipping point. They’re undoubtedly our Prince on a White Horse for ensuring that Malhar is the only word on everyone’s mouth.

  1. Creatives: The Explorer

The Explorer is a character naturally driven to push the boundaries of normality and explore the unknown. With their imaginative and fresh designs, Creatives is the face of Malhar (and what a beautiful face, indeed) by artistically expressing the ethos of our fest.

  1. Computers: The Shapeshifter

Comps finds a way to mould itself into any role we demand. Whether it’s creating an app to guide people, reviving our favourite childhood games with Puddles in tow, or making buzzers for events, this department never says no to any ask.

  1. FnD: The Narrator

Guiding the audience through the plot, the Narrator shapes our perception of the events that unfold. This Herculean task is pulled off by none other than FnD whose videos, images and the direly-awaited aftermovie gives us a glimpse into the organized chaos that ensues in Malhar!

  1. DnM: The Outlaw

It’s no easy feat decorating a campus as large and nuanced as Xavier’s, but DnM finds a way to not only do so but to make it unlike anything we’ve seen before. They constantly push the boundary by creating an awe-inspiring atmosphere. This department is the epitome of the rebel who won’t abide by society’s standards.
